Montreal, 2026 — Driven by the desire to combine its century-old heritage with cultural innovation, Espace St-Denis has reached a new milestone in its international reach. A delegation from our team proudly participated in the economic and cultural mission to South Korea, led by the Mayor of Montreal, Soraya Martinez Ferrada.
Alexandre Seers Provencher, Vice-President — Programming and Marketing, and Elisabeth Sirois, Head of Strategy and Special Projects, explored the creative hubs of Seoul and Busan. Alongside the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal and the Montreal Arts Council, they met with key players in the cultural industries to lay the groundwork for future strategic partnerships.
This mission aimed to explore cutting-edge cultural venues and discover new ways to merge technology and entertainment. These enriching exchanges will fuel the vision for our own spaces, ensuring we continue to offer unforgettable and memorable experiences to our audiences.
"This trip was an exceptional opportunity to showcase Espace St-Denis' expertise while drawing inspiration from global best practices to propel our vision of popular culture," stated the management.
As the St-Denis Theatre celebrates 110 years of popular culture, this return from the mission confirms our commitment to remaining an essential hub for entertainment in Montreal. By uniting our rich past with the innovations of tomorrow, we ensure that every visit to our venue remains a moment of discovery and wonder. The expertise gained during this stay in South Korea will soon be reflected in our programming and our interactions with you.
