Everything you need to know

Venue Policy and Access

Our team welcomes you one hour before the beginning of each show to the Espace St-Denis foyer for a gentle start to the evening. Doors to the theatres (Théâtre St-Denis and Studio St-Denis) are generally opened 30 minutes before the curtain rises. Arrive early to take in the unique feel of the Quartier Latin neighbourhood!

To guarantee a memorable experience for the entire audience, and out of respect for the artists, latecomers can only be admitted into the theatre at opportune moments.

In keeping with the demands of certain productions, latecomers may only be able to enter at intermission. Please note that no refunds or exchanges are possible in the event of arriving late. We strongly encourage you to plan out your visit in advance.

Absolutely! Espace St-Denis is a multigenerational space. Minors are welcome in our theatre and restaurants (Le Molière, Le Trattoria), unless otherwise stated for certain events. We recommend that parents check the suggested age bracket located in each show’s description before purchasing.

The arts are for everyone, regardless of age! Children under two years old are admitted free of charge to all of our shows if they remain seated on an accompanying adult’s lap. It’s our way of making high-quality entertainment accessible to all families.

Behaviour and courtesy
For the comfort of our artists and audience members, we ask parents to supervise their children and ensure that they remain quiet and respectful throughout the show.

Should a child disrupt the experience of other patrons, our staff reserves the right to invite the adult and child to leave the theatre without any refund. In such an event, no refund, exchange, or financial compensation will be able to be provided.

Booster seats
Espace St-Denis offers booster seats to little ones free of charge. These booster seats are available in all of our theatre spaces. Please note however that stocks are limited. When shows are especially family-focused, we go by the principle of “first come, first served.”

Commitment to customer service
Espace St-Denis thanks you for your valued collaboration. Enforcing these policies allows us to guarantee top-quality productions and a memorable experience for all of our patrons.

To offer a distraction-free, immersive experience to all audience members, we invite you to live in the moment. The use of cameras or recording devices (audio and video) is strictly forbidden during performances* in order to respect the work of the artists as well as production rights. At the same time, we love seeing your souvenirs! Feel free to commemorate your visit by snapping images in our beautiful foyers, restaurants, or in the flow of the Quartier Latin neighbourhood before and after the show.

*Unless otherwise stated by production for specific events.

Box office and payments

Absolutely! If the event is not advertised as sold-out, our team welcomes you to pass by the ticket booth at Espace St-Denis two hours before the beginning of the show. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you check current ticket availability on our website before heading over.

Yes! Give the gift of culture, a sure bet to brighten anyone’s day. Our gift cards are available at our box office and online. They’re valid for the entirety of our programming and have no expiration date.

Security

So that your evening is as fluid and pleasant as possible, we oversee the security of each member of our community. Here are a few directives to keep in mind when you come:

Bags: Large bags (of over 45cm x 35cm x 20cm) are not permitted in the theatres.

Drinking and eating: Food and drinks brought from outside the complex are not allowed, but our restaurants and bars will gladly welcome you with an array of choices.

Security: laser pointers, weapons, and sharp objects are not allowed.

Please note that our welcome staff may enforce routine checks of your personal belongings at the entrance.

Adapted needs and accessibility

For your comfort and security, the ground level of Théâtre Saint-Denis (near the exits) as well as of Studio St-Denis contain sections reserved for wheelchair users. In order to offer you the best experience possible as soon as you arrive, we encourage you to mention all special needs when calling to buy your tickets.

Studio St-Denis is entirely accessible by elevator. Please note however that the balcony zone of Théâtre St-Denis’s large theatre is only accessible by stairs. Our welcome staff will gladly guide you along the most fluid route possible depending on your reservation.

So that you don’t miss out on anything, all of our theatres are equipped with assisted listening systems. Upon arrival, don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of our team for help or to find out the relevant frequencies.

Personal belongings and transport

For your comfort, a coat check service is available to stow jackets, umbrellas, and cumbersome objects. By leaving the space under your seat clear, you contribute to the safety of all audience members while also enjoying a more fluid experience.

So that you get the whole experience, Espace St-Denis invites you to discover our prized culinary hotspots, nestled in the heart of the complex.

Le Molière - French Bistro. Plunge into the elegance of an authentic bistro honouring gourmet French cuisine. Its bright décor and warm ambience make it the ideal spot for a sophisticated fine dining experience.

Situated in the heart of the Quartier Latin, Espace St-Denis is a historic cultural destination full of discoveries.
