December 16 to 31, 2026, Studio St-Denis invites you to experience New Orleans Blues, a musical getaway where the holiday spirit meets the one of Bourbon Street.

'From the very fi rst notes, you'll be immersed in a bright and warm atmosphere where brass instruments ring out like Christmas bells and every song becomes a celebration,' says Normand Brathwaite, director and artistic director.

This three-act show traces the rhythmic journey of blues from its beginnings to the present, wrapped in costumes as fl amboyant as those of Mardi Gras, yet infused with a touch of winter magic.

Straight from another world, the mysterious Baron Samedi, a voodoo spirit embodied by Fayolle Jean Jr., guides your journey like a festive ghost.
Under the musical direction of Jean-François Beaudet, seven exceptional musicians bring this sonic tapestry to life. Percussion, brass, and keyboards intertwine to create an atmosphere that is both intimate and explosive, perfect for warming up December evenings.
