David Corriveau: 100 contrefaçons
100 contrefaçons
A versatile impersonator with a thousand voices and a thousand talents, David was discovered on the set of Salut Bonjour! in 2021, where he impressed Gino Chouinard and all of Quebec. He then went on to La France a un incroyable talent, where he earned the golden buzzer from Sugar Sammy and made it to the finals.
Since then, he’s racked up over 35 million views on social media and is riding high thanks to his debut show, 100 contrefaçons, in which he delves into a repertoire of popular songs from the 1970s to the 2000s.
In an intimate, warm, and positive atmosphere, he tells us how he managed to make the move from his family’s chicken coop in Saint-Boniface-de-Shawinigan to Montreal to fulfill his dream of singing on stage like his idols—whom he impersonates spectacularly! An adventure made possible by you, and one that’s just beginning… This show showcases the talents of an impersonator with infectious energy who takes genuine pleasure in helping us relive cherished moments from a not-so-distant past.
Close your eyes and you’ll think you’re hearing Céline Dion, Édith Piaf, Claude Dubois, Laurence Jalbert, Marie Carmen, James Blunt, or Ginette Reno, but when you open them, in disbelief, you’ll find just one man standing before you.
